Support Conni's MFA Dream
Hello friends + family,
My name is Vince, and I’m creating this Fundraiser on behalf of my daughter, Conni. If you haven't met her, you should know she's an extraordinary artist, leader, and firstborn light in my life. Conni was recently accepted into the Royal College of Art in London for their Master of Fine Arts program in Communications. It’s the top art school in the world, and I’m very proud to see her hard work being recognized.
Conni is a visionary. She’s a powerful young Black woman whose work uplifts others, brings people together, and speaks life into those she encounters. She’s teaching, preaching, and creating the kind of work that helps us all get through difficult times.
She’s done all this while navigating the highs and lows of life in San Francisco, building her career in the middle of a pandemic, and staying rooted in her purpose despite setbacks most folks wouldn’t even talk about, let alone survive with grace. But she kept going. And now, she has this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to take her talents to the next level. She needs your help to get there.
This fundraiser is my way of helping her carry the weight. Conni doesn’t always ask for help, but she’s given so much to her community, her friends, and to us as a family. It’s time for the support to come back around. She’s the kind of person who brings joy into the world, and I truly believe that sending her to school is in the best interest of the world.
The current political and economic landscape makes it harder every day for young Black women like Conni to thrive. This fundraiser is about investing in a future we all need. Conni’s voice, her vision, and her leadership matter. Her education isn’t just for her and will benefit everyone she serves and inspires. She will be one of the few, if not only, Black women from the US to attend this school. What lies on the other side will only be in the best interest of our community.
Conni is a leader and a teacher who creates from the heart. Her work makes people feel seen. And as her dad, I couldn’t be prouder—24/7.
If you can give, we would be so grateful. If you can’t, sharing this with your community means just as much.
With deep gratitude,
A very proud dad,
Vince
