Hello- kind like minded individual who clicked on this little fundraiser in hopes of hearing a story that would touch your heart. 

My name is Maegan and this is my Dad, David. For as long as I can remember, my Dad has always been rooting for the little guy. As it turns out, this time around- he's the one in need. 

When Corona came around in March 2020, my Father knew the safest place for himself was at home. As a type 1 diabetic he knew he was at risk for infection. As a heart disease patient he recognized his difficulty to breathe as an eminent heart attack. We spoke for weeks and as his daughter, I encouraged him to get up and head to the doctors. Never in a million years I would think that his heart was fine.. 

On July 2, 2020 Dave had to be taken by ambulance to the local hospital because he lost the ability to breathe. What started as a simple stomach infection, spread all over his body and into the lungs. High fevers resulted in delirium and you can only imagine his fear... 

Currently, he is still running on a ventilator and needs our help. I am asking for donations for my Dad as his medical bill is still running. Cobra can only cover so much and I can't begin to tell you the toll this has taken on my Step Mother, my dad's devoted wife. She maintains working every single day, and stays on top of every video call we get. 

If you know my dad, you know how vocal he is. For over two weeks my dad has been silenced. My Father has always been loud. He's always said his two cents. He stands up for what he believes in and he doesn't deserve to just lie in a hospital bed left alone. If I can't be there to fight the fight beside my Dad, I will fight for some financial relief, that way he won't have to worry about that. Just focus on living. The world needs more people like you Dad and you inspire me to share our story. 

Now is the time to give back to those who need it.
