Support for Samuel
Samuel Moseley, 40m, was walking home on Sunday, December 7, 2025 when he was hit by a Dodge Ram truck that was traveling 50mph just before 8pm. He was life flighted to the hospital in San Antonio where he was admitted as a john doe until the next day when a nurse was miraculously able to make contact with his wife, Ginell, 40f and together they were able to identify him.
His injuries were tremendous-- including, but not limited to: lacerations and road rash on his head and face. A bruised throat and aorta, as well as an aortic crush injury from blunt force trauma, a double pulmonary embolism. He sustained at least five broken ribs, a fractured vertebrae, lacerations on his liver, an injured and leaking right kidney. In his right leg, the femur is shattered. In his left leg, the tibia and fibula are both broken, the knee is fractured, and there is nerve damage around the ankle of that leg as well. The thumb of his left hand is broken. There is a hematoma in his pelvic area and other areas as well as some major blood clots requiring blood thinners.
Samuel had just moved to Eagle Pass, TX for a new job that was supposed to begin in January. His wife works at Walgreens. He and Ginell have two small dogs named Angel and Annabelle, a small cat named C.C., and a cockatiel named Gabrielle. Samuel is father to two sons, Elijah, 14, and Jeremiah,12 of a previous marriage. Samuel loves to play the guitar and worship the Lord and spend time with his family. He's funny, and strong, and he works hard to make ends meet and keep a roof over his family's head.
Recovery is a long process involving a major surgical operation on both legs, and a lot of questions.
Unfortunately, due to this accident, Samuel is being faced with the very real worry of not being able to provide for his family. The driver of the truck that struck Samuel on 12/7 had only minimal vehicular insurance, which will only cover a fraction of Samuel's medical expenses. The recovery from his injuries is likely going to be long and difficult, and financially devastating.
We are asking for donations to help keep cover Samuel's medical costs and to help keep a roof over this family's head during his recovery.
Big or small, anything helps-- anything at all!
