Support Karen Hailstone
This is my sister Karen Hailstone, and her granddaughter. 2017 has been a challenging year for Karen in many ways and there are 3 months still to go.
Just in the past few weeks she got results from some medical tests that revealed she has uterine cancer. It is a cancer that is considered very treatable but certainly no guarantees. She is scheduled for hysterectomy surgery on Oct. 4th.
Through the Summer Karen has been searching for a job, having resigned from her position at Carroll Hospital this past Spring. That job was physically very demanding and she reached a place earlier in the year where it became increasingly difficult for her to continue.
Now that she is facing surgery and recovery, job hunting has taken a back seat. Her only source of income currently is a home based business, the check from which only covers a portion of her expenses.
Please consider contributing to this fund raising effort to allow Karen to stay where she's living, pay her other expenses ( i.e. food, phone, car insurance, etc) and get back on the search for a job.
Prayer is also very greatly appreciated at this time. Feel free to share this with anyone you know who may want to lend Karen a hand.
