My name is Kay, and I am an upcoming senior at Virginia Commonwealth University studying Political Science on the pre-law track. My dream is to attend law school and become an immigration attorney.

This past year has brought unexpected financial hardships. After using my savings to help my family recover from a major home emergency, I was left without the funds I had planned to use for school. I worked multiple jobs, applied for scholarships, and even worked overnight shifts at Amazon while taking summer classes to reduce my tuition balance. Friends generously loaned me money so I could stay enrolled, and I am committed to paying them back.
