Support Kelby's Fight

In September of 2017, then 26-year-old Kelby Lindsey was diagnosed with lung cancer at Geisinger Medical Center. Kelby was informed that they were unable to perform any treatments at their facility, so he and his mother traveled to the Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA) near Chicago, Illinois. It was there that he was officially diagnosed with Stage IV lung cancer. It was determined that his best course of action was a targeted therapy pill called TAGRISSO which works by blocking the growth and spread of cancer cells. In October of 2019, he was informed that the cancer had metastasized to his brain and he underwent surgery and radiation shortly after. He traveled back and forth many times over the next several years for follow-up appointments, treatment, and two additional brain surgeries. In 2023, he had a biopsy that confirmed that the cancer had spread to his lymph nodes and he subsequently began another round of radiation which again required extensive travel and missed work. Over the following years, he transferred care to Fox Chase Cancer Center to continue receiving treatment and ultimately received news that the cancer was no longer detectable in 2025.

He unfortunately learned this year that the cancer had returned and he recently started chemotherapy. Doctors have also been monitoring swelling in his brain and after suffering a seizure in early October, the decision has been made to perform a 4th brain surgery in mid-November to remove the tissue that is thought to be causing the swelling.

For nearly a decade since his original diagnosis, Kelby has continued to live his life to the fullest. He frequently travels for work, often spending weeks at a time on the road and working in excess of 80 hours a week to help cover his expenses. Our goal is to raise funds to help offset the medical bills he will accumulate, as he will be unable to work leading up to his surgery and during recovery.

We know not everyone is in a position to give financially. Whether you are able to donate or share this link to spread the word, please know that your kindness is deeply appreciated. Together, we can ease the burden. Together, we will support him.
