I'm asking for support for a wonderful woman in our community.

Kira is a single mama who's had some tough breaks. She has no support from either her children's dad or any family and works hard to pay rent, feed her family, and maintain a stable life for her boys. Their dad is completely out of the picture. She was recently very ill and has been sick many times this past year, in part due to exhaustion at being the sole provider as well as mother and caretaker. Her only vehicle, a 20 year old van, is out of commission and in need of thousands of dollars worth of repairs. She doesn't know how she'll get to work or bring her kids to school next semester. The house she's been renting will no longer be available in 2 months and she'll need to move, likely needing to come up with first and last month's rent and deposit. It is hard for her to ask for financial assistance. I invite friends and the broader community to open your heart and show your support for this hardworking, loving, single mom. I believe in the power of community care. This mama needs a break. Every little bit shows your care.
