Support 3rd Street Band

Hello, music lovers and supporters of independent art!

We are The 3rd Street Band, formed in late 2022. Since then—entirely on our own, without a manager or label—we've played 72 gigs to full houses all over the continent. With just four songs out, we have accumulated 400,000+ streams over multiple platforms, from people all over the world. Our goal is to bring depth and storytelling back to mainstream music. TWO YEARS OF MUSIC IS NOW COMING OUT!! OUR SELF TITLED EP IS NOW OUT!

Until now, our band has been completely self-funded, the money coming from our side jobs, such as waiting tables and playing weddings, and even unemployment. We have invested over $15,000 in: our music video budget (we want to make legitimate music videos, not just content for social media); advertising; establishing an LLC; playlist placement; radio play; rehearsal time; and recording. We have even started taking whatever we make from shows and putting it entirely back in the band, taking nothing for ourselves.

This work has paid off. We have gone on four tours, two of which were international. We would use ticket sales to pay for lodging, driving days upon days. We have gotten to meet fans that we have accumulated through these advertisements.

No matter how much you put into advertising, it's the actual music that must move people in order for the marketing to work. Here are some quotes that fans have written to us:

Now that we have this opportunity to tour and to release a full body of work, we can no longer afford all our expenses. It was one thing when we were promoting singles one by one, but the EP will quadruple the expenses, along with press for the whole project. With the ability to play for fans in cities far and wide, our expenses will continue to rise exponentially. We have successfully made an LLC, and found an accounting firm to manage it—one more expense we need to meet.

So we're now reaching out for your support as we embark on this ambitious journey. To make our EP and tour a reality, we need YOUR help to cover the essential costs:

Radio submission worldwide for each song through PLAY MPE: $3,000

Instagram ads for city-specific marketing: $3,000

Tour Accommodations: $2500 

Gas: $500

Food for five musicians and social media employees: $1200

LLC Accounting: $2500

Social Media management: $2000

We plan to go on more tours, so we are including that in our financial goal on this website. Your contribution will enable us to: Send our EP to an independent agency for wider distribution, tour seamlessly, and getting our music on the radio. We believe in the power of our music and have had a tremendous response on Instagram and YouTube, with every $300 spent resulting in 500-700 page views and 150-250 new fans/followers.

We've come this far independently, booking shows and financing our own projects. Now we need your support to raise our music to new heights. Every contribution counts. MORE ABOUT THIRD STREET: MEET THE MEMBERS

William Jack Williams (lead singer) and Justin Gerber (lead guitar and pianist) met in 2021, and instantly clicked musically, especially after they bonded over their mutual love of The Beatles. Later that year, Jack and Justin started a band. Dash Chase, 3rd Street's rhythm bassist and second singer joined, (Dash has known Jack since high school growing up in New York.) Timothy Youngman, whom the others met through the NYU Steinhardt program, also came along for the ride as the saxophone, keyboard and bass player as well as producer. Massimo Daul, who had randomly met Jack at a basketball court in Maine in 2018, completed The 3rd Street Band as drummer and pianist. All members of 3rd Street are trained musicians and can play multiple instruments.

Since the formation in late 2022, 3rd Street has played twenty six shows in clubs all over NYC and the Hamptons. Through word of mouth alone, they have at times had 100+ people at their concerts, where the venue capacity was maxed out. Gig Finesse's agent Vivian Hale Morrisoff, who discovered 3rd Street, was so impressed by the big turnouts that she asked them to open at her Gig Finesse showcase. The first single, “Aphrodite and the Mystery Man," has been played by college radio stations nationwide and is on playlists all around the world. The song has so far garnered over 200,000 streams across all platforms - completely independently.

Our aim is to restore the depth and storytelling power of rock music at its best, drawing inspiration from iconic artists like The Beatles, Radiohead, Bob Dylan, King Crimson, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, and others. You can help us realize this dream, by donating whatever sum you can afford.
