Support Tom Meyer
After the lessons have been taught, after the games have been played, after the nourishment has been consumed, the students and teachers have gone home, the players and coaches have left the building, and the kitchen has closed, the work is not finished. Enter Tom Meyer, one of our dedicated custodians. Merriam-Webster defines custodian as “someone who guards and protects or takes care of something for another person.” For several years, Tom Meyer has been taking care of local schools - Emory H. Markle Middle School and Delone Catholic High School - and the Mustangs and Squires who teach and learn in them. He has always been willing to help with whatever needs to be done and has done his work with a beautiful smile. The students and staff alike know they can count on him in so many situations.
Now, it is “Mr. Tom” and his family who need the local community to guard and protect them. Recently, Tom was confronted with a diagnosis of Stage 4 bladder cancer, which has spread throughout his body. His beloved wife Betty has had to stop working to become his caretaker. As a community, we can pull together to help Tom and Betty fight through this challenging time with spiritual and financial resources to sustain them through treatment and recovery. During this holiday season, please consider giving them the gift of LOVE and HOPE by making a financial donation!
