Support Trena's Health Journey

Anyone who has met Trena knows that her mission in life is to make other people feel good. Whether you are family, met her at the gym, the yoga studio, yoga in the park, work, a concert, or through a friend of a friend, she would do anything to help those she cares about. And she truly cares about everyone! She is supportive, and positive, and puts everyone's well-being before her own.

Most of you probably aren't aware that she has been suffering in silence for many years. Trena has been diagnosed with multiple autoimmune disorders including rheumatoid arthritis and degenerative bone disease. She is in constant pain and under a lot of stress. In July, her kidneys started showing signs of failure and she had to have emergency treatment resulting in over $750 out of pocket in addition to missing a week of work (unpaid) to recover.

She needs a therapy called Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Injections to help heal her body and reduce her pain. PRP therapy is a form of regenerative medicine that can harness the body's ability to heal itself and amplify the natural growth factors the body uses to heal tissue. She will likely need 7 treatments in total and they run $550 each. You can read more about PRP here and here.

Her naturopath has also recommended concurrent therapies of acupuncture with electrotherapy $500 for the minimum recommended sessions, chiropractic treatment, and anti-inflammatory restorative supplements est. @ $200/month. Unfortunately, insurance does not cover any of these treatments Trena needs to function optimally. She has also run out of paid time off from work and has outstanding medical bills of over $3,500 and rising.
