Help Alicia Fight : Support Her Urgent Cancer Treatment
Alicia is a devoted mother to two little boys, Lou (4) and Avi (2), and the beloved wife of Josh. She was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2021, bravely completed treatment, and welcomed another beautiful baby shortly after. For years, her doctors believed she was in remission and safely past the worst.
But everything changed this fall.
A Sudden Medical Emergency
In October 2025, Alicia began experiencing severe, unrelenting headaches. Josh rushed her to the emergency room, where scans revealed a tumor on her cerebellum. She was taken into emergency brain surgery, followed by a month in the Intensive Care Unit, fighting for her life. As she recovered, her doctors delivered more devastating news:
Alicia’s cancer has now aggressively spread to her bones and liver. Her type of cancer is one of the fastest-moving and hardest types to treat, and it has left her in daily, excruciating pain—especially from the bone cancer in her spine. Our immediate hope is to get her the treatment she needs to relieve this pain, regain strength, and be well enough to spend active, joyful time with her boys and her family again.
Despite all of this, Alicia’s spirit remains strong. She is determined to fight, to heal, and to be here for her boys.
The Treatment She Needs — and Why We’re Asking for Help
Alicia now requires a series of specialized chemotherapy infusions. Each infusion costs $50,000. Multiple rounds are medically necessary due to how quickly her cancer spreads. Insurance has been very difficult at times due to the fact that they are seeking cutting-edge treatment for her rare and aggressive form of cancer.
Alicia and Josh are both self-employed. When they cannot work, they simply do not get paid.
They are now facing the burden of:
- Medical bills and ongoing co-pays
- Specialized treatments not always covered by insurance
- Childcare during hospital visits and recovery
- Travel to and from treatment centers
- Everyday living expenses while being unable to work full-time
This fundraiser will allow Alicia to receive the treatments she urgently needs, while giving Josh and the boys the stability to stay by her side through every step.
Who Alicia Is — and Why She Means So Much to So Many
Anyone who knows Alicia describes her the same way: Loving. Gentle. Selfless. Compassionate. A quiet force of kindness.
She previously worked in a homeless outreach program in Chicago, serving some of the most vulnerable people in the city. Today she is the operations director of her family business, where she is the heart and glue of everything she touches.
She has spent her life helping others. Now, she needs us to help her.
How You Can Support Alicia and Her Family
We are asking our community—family, friends, coworkers, and compassionate strangers—to come together and help relieve the tremendous financial and emotional burden this young family is carrying.
Your support will go directly toward:
- Life-saving infusion treatments (with upfront payments often necessary for care)
- Medical bills and medications
- Childcare during hospital stays
- Travel and care-related expenses
- Essential living costs while Josh takes time away from work to care for Alicia
Our goal is to raise $50,000 and every single contribution—large or small—makes a real difference.
If you cannot donate, please share Alicia’s story.
Prayers, messages of encouragement, and spreading the word all help this family feel less alone and far more supported during the hardest chapter of their lives.
