My name is Jasmine and I live in Glendale, AZ with my husband, my 1-year-old cat Gerbik, and Gerbik's 6 6-week-old kittens. Gerbik is more than a cat, she is our child and she is very ill and in excruciating pain. She has an infection in her uterus and may have a kitten that did not come out during birth and she needs an ultrasound, blood work and emergency surgery. My husband and I desperately want to help her but unfortunately we are not financially able to at this time. We both are out of work due to COVID and are literally borrowing money to get by. The surgery alone is about $6,000 and the ultrasound, blood work, and antibiotics cost at least $2,000. Gerbik is a wonderful mother and cat and she is not able to take care of her kittens as she wants to. She is miserable and cries all of the time and spends most of her day laying down. She is too uncomfortable to sleep and has lost a lot of weight. She eats a lot but is unable to keep or gain weight, so she is extremely skinny. Anything will help and would be much appreciated.
