Surgery for Kasidy
My beloved cat Kasidy has oral cancer. Fortunately she's been in great hands at UW Veterinary Care, and I've decided to go ahead with an oral surgery to remove the growth, which includes (tw: gross body stuff) partial jaw removal to try to get as many of the cancer cells as possible. Without this surgery, the tumor is likely to impact her quality of life within the next few months. With it, she has another year or two at least. The surgery is projected to cost $3500-5000.
Kasidy is the light of my life. Nearly three years ago she showed up at my third floor apartment, half-starved from having lived on the street for a month but immediately ready to take me under her care. She is my registered emotional support animal and has kept me alive during rough and stressful periods of my life. Anyone who has met Kasidy knows that she is a special and stubborn tortie who is absolutely worth fighting for.
