Surgery Help for Hannah

Dear Friends and Family,

It's getting closer to my surgery date and I've almost reached my goal! Thank you again to all of you who've leant support, (both monetary and prayer, I take nothing for granted and it all is important and appreciated. :) ) Because in truth the goal amount I set is a low estimate of what our out of pocket expenses will be, I am still hoping we can reach it. Right now any money donated will go towards a dog ramp for Winnie so he can access my bed while I can't pick him up, (my bed is his bed, he won't sleep anywhere else), and for dog walks which according to Rover start at $17 a pop, and which unfortunately we'll need help with for quite some time because I won't be able to carry him up and down the steep steps to our 2nd floor apartment post-op. I know it's the Christmas season and finances are tight for many of us but if you do have anything you'd like to donate to a good cause this season, we'd really appreciate it.

Thanks all and I hope everyone's enjoying this beautiful, festive season so far!

Hannah & June & Winnie

PS: Gift certificates to DoorDash for food or Rover for dog walking services in lieu of money is equally appreciated should you prefer to do that!

ETA: I didn't anticipate care for Winnie and have updated our goal amount to reflect a daily walk for him for at least a month's period of time. I'm touched and grateful for the support we've gotten so far, thank you! I'll continue to keep this up until my surgery in late December, if you can help it's appreciated and regardless we wish you a Happy Holidays!

I am starting this fundraiser on behalf of June and I in the hopes of raising money to help us get by with food and transportation while I am recovering from my upcoming (9 level) spinal fusion. This is a major surgery for me and I'll be both in the hospital and on bedrest at home for a total of about 3 weeks. I'm incredibly fortunate to not be worried about medical bills right now, but without family in the area to help with meals and transportation we'll be relying on Grub Hub and meal delivery services for most of our meals and Uber/Lyft for most of our transportation, which I expect will run between $2-400. This is a chunk of money for us as it is, but with my surgery date on December 28th and presents to purchase for my kiddo for Christmas I'm finding myself feeling extra stretched financially.

I'm keeping this short and sweet because I hate asking for help, but if you do feel so inclined to donate any amount to help us get through this challenging time we'd greatly appreciate it.

Thank you all and since I'm terrible about sending out cards, Happy Holidays to you as well. :)
