Hello, my name is Debbie and I can actually barely see to type this out. In December of 2025 I had surgery for a macular hole. That means a hole that went all the way through my eye! I'm still paying off that surgery as I cannot afford health insurance here in CA. Cheapest plan for me would have been $1,300 a month. I live off of my small retirement and still work to support myself and all of my rescue pets! They are my family. The surgery for the macular hole was mostly successful; however, the surgery itself causes a cataract! Last week I saw the cataract surgeon and I could not even read the chart due to the cataract. My job consists of me using the computer and reading documents therefore the surgery is desperately needed. I even have difficulty seeing signs along the road now. Each month I am down to my last dollar and that is 100% honesty. I have numerous bills, such as student loans, car payment, travel trailer payment that I live in due to not being not able to afford a home, IRS payments, and the list goes on. I've never asked for money before, ever in my 62 years of life. I am desperate and scared at this point and have no other options. My credit score is too low for a loan. The surgery will cost $4,000 to $5,000 depending upon which lens they end up using. Thank you for anyone who is able to give anything! I've prayed over and over about posting on here and I feel as if it is my only hope. I will upload the cost sheet so there is no doubt that I am telling the truth.
