Survival to Stability

I’m writing this for someone who means the world to me, and while I’m keeping her name private to protect her and her babies, please know she is one of the strongest, most selfless women I’ve ever known.

She’s a mother to two beautiful kids, ages 7 and 3, and everything she does is for them. She works two jobs, pours everything she has into showing up for her children, and somehow keeps going even though she hasn’t had a real day off in months. I’ve watched her push through exhaustion most people wouldn’t survive, and she does it with a quiet strength that honestly humbles me.

Not long ago, she made the incredibly hard and brave decision to leave an abusive marriage. She is still in the middle of a divorce that has been emotionally draining, heavy, and far from easy. Even with all of that, she continues to show up for her kids with love, consistency, and resilience.

The reason I’m asking for help is because life has hit her again in a way she can’t navigate alone this time. Her early 2000s mini SUV, the one thing that keeps her life moving, now needs a full engine rebuild. The cost to fix it is more than the car is worth, and without it, she has no reliable way to get to both of her jobs or get her kids to school.

If you know her like I do, you’d understand why this is so hard to watch. She never asks for help. She figures things out. She sacrifices. She keeps going. But right now, she deserves support. She deserves a moment where life gives back to her, even just a little.

I'm a good friend of hers, and I see everything she carries. I see how incredible she is. I see how kind, patient, and loving she is with her children, even when she’s running on empty. Her kids are just as amazing, and they deserve stability and peace.

If you’re able to give anything at all, it would mean more than I can put into words. And if you can’t, even sharing this would help more than you know. Every little bit brings her closer to having reliable transportation again and taking one small weight off her shoulders.

I would be endlessly grateful for any support you can give. More than anything, I just want to see a little light find its way back into her life.
