Surviving Being Stranded
Hello everyone,
I am reaching out to my community and friends, and any kind hearts willing to listen, because my four children and I have hit an incredibly difficult roadblock, and we desperately need help getting back on our feet. Recently, my 2021 Kia Sorento suffered catastrophic engine failure due to a severe mechanical error (an improperly done oil change). Because the shop has completely stopped communicating and refused to take accountability, my vehicle is entirely inoperable, and I still haven't been able to get a replacement engine. The loss of our vehicle quickly snowballed into a nightmare for my family. While attempting an interstate trip, my four kids and I were left without reliable transportation. We became stranded in Montana, completely relying on the kindness of my childhood friend of 30 years, her husband, and Mr. Larry's Automotive Shop in Kimball, South Dakota, to help us. Tragically, the ride that was paid for to get us safely through turned out to be dangerous and unstable. By the grace of god, we have finally made it to Washington State, but the trauma, the financial drain, and the absolute crisis of being without a working vehicle remain. Right now, the cost of getting a replacement engine and getting our car back on the road is completely out of reach after the financial strain of this ordeal. I am asking for donations to help cover the purchase and installation of a replacement engine for our 2021 Kia Sorento.
Any amount you can give, whether it is $1,$20, or simply sharing this link with your network, means the world to my kids and me. We just want to move past this stressful chapter, get our car running, and find stability again. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kindness, prayers, and support.
