Friends,

By now, I assume most of us have either seen pictures, video, or at least heard about the hurricane devastation that just occurred in Louisiana. Unless you have family or friends down there it's easy to not feel affected by this natural disaster. I have friends whose relatives have lost their livelihoods and businesses there so I have paid attention to this disaster.

Today I was able to see pictures of the Southwest Louisiana Rifle and Pistol Club outside of Lake Charles. I personally travel to this club at least once a year for national level matches including the Crawfish Cup. It is one of the best ranges I have visited around the world. To say it was structurally devastated is an understatement. Since the range is in a flood plain, there was no insurance on the structures themselves.

This club is a close-knit group of sportsman and sportswomen that have trained a lot of children since 1947 and they have done a lot of good for their community year after year, kind of like your local gun club that you are a member of.

I hope the shooting community at large will be able to join me in donating to this club to help them get back on their feet. This year more than ever, we have to stand together. Please join me In trying to pay back this club for all the enjoyment it has given the shooting community throughout the years and for the foreseeable future.
