Puppy Boy wants to LIVE!

Our sweet pit bull, 'Puppy Boy', is almost 10 & developed congestional heart failure a few months ago. His lungs & belly are filled with fluid.

After taking him to the emergency vet, they maxed out our care credit for $2,000, then put him on meds that made his heart race! The fluid pills they also prescribed do absolutely nothing, & his belly is still bloated, causing extreme discomfort & pulling down on his spine. We then took him to the local vet for another thousand dollars, & they only gave him more meds. Nothing else. They suggested a heart specialist, but there's just no way my son & I can afford that. I'm on extremely low income, & my son works full-time for regular wages. We are already in debt with this, & our poor, sweet pit bull is still miserable. I make his special food each week, using quality fresh foods, which is also costly. We are doing everything we can to keep him alive & give him a quality life, but he desperately needs a drainage tube to relieve all the pressure from his bloated belly, put on his spine. It's getting worse. The medication is so, extremely expensive, & it's doing nothing! We have spent over a thousand dollars on medication alone! It's just crazy how much these vets are charging to do so little for our precious dog. He is such a loyal, sweet boy. Please help us get him the help he needs & deserves 🙏

This happened so quickly! He was swimming in the rivers & lakes last summer....now he just looks at the water & whines, because he knows he can't do it anymore. It breaks our heart. I've called so many places, & no one seems to have resources available. I'm doing all I can on my part, but he needs more. We truly appreciate anything you can offer. We are not really comfortable asking for help, & have never asked before, but this is a very special dog. The best I've ever had, & I've had a lot through the years.
