TaylorsTeeth&AccidentFund

As many of you know, nine years ago I was in a terrible accident when my ex was driving and hit a moose on the highway in Maine. They didn’t think I was going to make it, but after 3 weeks in a coma I woke up and made a pretty outstanding recovery. For those of you who don’t know me personally you can read about it here. https://www.sunjournal.com/2015/11/12/auburn-woman-moose-crash-still-coma-week-later/

Unfortunately I got a couple of my teeth almost completely knocked out, but not totally so they just replaced my crowns (they were already chipped so I had two crowns on my front teeth).

And more unfortunately the broken teeth that were holding onto the crowns got even more broken in the accident and have now come off a couple of times since then. The dentists are now telling me there isn’t enough tooth to keep the crowns forever and I need to get tooth implants. They have already pulled one of the teeth and given me a tooth retainer so I’m not toothless which has left me with a $560 bill already that I’m trying to get paid off.

The cost of the two front tooth implants is $10,000 😳. I had originally made this to cover both of them, but I’m a little ashamed to be asking for this money, and right now it’s just one tooth I need done, so I’m going to cross my fingers and hope the other one doesn’t need to get replaced for a while. I have no idea how I’m going to come up with that money, that’s why I am asking all of you for some help. I’m embarrassed, but sometimes you have to do what you have to do.

I didn’t get a dime from the insurance company for that accident. The driver convinced me not to go after his insurance company because he didn’t want his premium to go up. 🙄 When I finally decided to do it anyway, it was too late, it was past the statute of limitations.

Because of my accident, I am not in the physical shape that I should be. Knowing how uncertain my future is I made a very large mistake and invested $10,000 of my savings into a “friends” start up business. Upon making this investment I was promised that even if the business failed I would be paid back my investment. Even if they had to do it but by bit, pay check by pay check, I would get my money back. Well, it failed and I was basically told to shove it when I brought up their promises to reimburse me no matter what. Yes it was a stupid thing on my part but my recently damaged brain wasn’t exactly right. Then the covid shutdowns happened and I spent the rest of my savings surviving. Now here I am, 6 years later needing that exact sum to get two dental implants made and implanted. A cruel irony if you ask me.

So that’s why I am here asking you all for a little help. I appreciate so much any help you can give me. The thought of not having my two top front teeth is definitely a nightmare for me so hopefully I can get them taken care of but I’m going to need some help. Thank you all so much for taking the time to read this and for any help you can give me.
