Glen Springs Principal, Deanna Feagin received a letter of termination OUT OF THE BLUE from School Superintendent Carlee Simon on Monday , May 24, 2021. Deanna rose through the ranks in Alachua County from bus driver in 1986. She became an teacher's aide, got her bachelor's degree, became a teacher, obtained her master's degree and became a curriculum resource teacher at Talbot.Elem. She was quickly promoted 3 years ago to Glen Springs Elementary as principal. Her record is impeccable and above reproach.

The outpouring of support for Deanna has been overwhelming and this is our time to band together to support her as she has hired an attorney and plans to fight not only for herself, but her students, teachers, other administrators and the future of this school system.

These funds will be not only for the attorney fees but to help support Deanna and her family through the loss of her income, health insurance etc. until she is able to move forward.

We cannot allow a new Superintendent to come into this county and work with three fifths of the school board to turn peoples' lives upside down.

Please support TEAM DEANNA FEAGIN with your contributions so that we can get the legal process rolling immediately and hopefully terminate the turmoil in our school system before it is too late....We aren't sure what Superintendent Simon's motives are YET, but we are seeking an answer to that.
