Kirk Mullen, 38, who is born and raised in the Pittsburgh area, was diagnosed with ALS April 2025, at just 37 years old. He and his wife, Lindsey, are loving parents to Marshall (8) and Hazel (6). While insurance and charitable programs help, the Mullen family still faces many out-of-pocket costs- including a wheelchair-accessible van, wheelchair platform lift and other home modifications that are not covered by insurance.
