"Hi my name is Trooper, I was found on a back country road laying in a ditch where I had been for a long time. I need a lot of medical attention and am showing improvement everyday. Everyone was surprised I was still alive, they didn't think I would make it through the night. Please don't give up on me as I haven't given up on myself."

Trooper's initial assessment showed that he was emaciated and dehydrated, has a possible tick born disease (Ehrlichiosis), had been shot in the neck, had some type of head trauma, and had been lying in is own feces and urine for an extended period of time causing burns to his hip and rear area.  He is not using his rear legs, they still have feeling but do not have reflex response.  An MRI is necessary to further assess.  

Trooper is currently in ICU and is already showing signs of improvement.  He no longer has head tremors, his pupils dilate evenly when tested with light.  He is eating and drinking on his own.  He is having his infected skin cleaned under general anesthesia and will be having an MRI soon.
