Teeing Off on New Career
Hi, I'm Ainsley — a recent college graduate with a lifelong passion for golf, and a dream of becoming both a successful collegiate golf coach and renowned sports psychologist.
Over the past few months, I've been applying for my first coaching position. While I'm incredibly hopeful and excited to begin this journey, almost every university seeks candidates with coaching experience - something that's hard to gain without first being given a chance.
To get my foot in the door, I'm also pursuing opportunities as a volunteer graduate assistant. While this is a vital steppingstone toward a career in collegiate coaching, it comes with significant financial challenges. One avenue I have committed to is working as a substitute teacher with a school near the university I will be potentially serving in order to help support myself and gain more experience working with students.
Some of my classmates are traveling abroad for religious missionary work. I believe my mission field is mentoring and ministering to student-athletes. I'm passionate about guiding young people on the golf course and in life, using sports as a vehicle for growth, confidence, and purpose.
This fund will help cover essential expenses such as relocation, housing and basic living costs as I step into this new chapter of my life. Your support will greatly help relive the pending financial burden and allow me to fully focus on building relationships, investing in student-athletes, and growing into the coach and leader I aspire to be.
Every contribution - no matter the size - brings me one step closer to making a lasting impact on collegiate athletics. Thank you for believing in me and supporting the next generation of women's golf.
With gratitude,
Ainsley
