Help Build a Wheelchair Accessible Microfarm in Gugulethu, Cape Town

We are fundraising to establish a wheelchair-accessible microfarm and a maker studio at the Tembaletu Protective Workshop, a safe and nurturing space for individuals with physical disabilities. Your support will help us provide opportunities for empowerment, skill development, and community-building while promoting health, sustainability, and creativity.

What We're Building

A Microfarm:

• Accessible, raised garden beds designed to SABS 0246 standards for individuals in wheelchairs.
• A greenhouse for year-round cultivation and sustainable rainwater harvesting.
• Fresh vegetables and herbs to promote healthy eating and local food security.
• Educational workshops on gardening, nutrition, and sustainable living.

Why This Matters

In Gugulethu, access to meaningful work and healthy food is limited, especially for individuals with disabilities. This project will:
