This is not easy for me to write, but I believe in being honest and transparent.

My health insurance costs recently went from $153 a month to nearly $2700 a month. I paid it 3xs before giving up and having to find a new plan that my neurosurgeon will hopefully accept. But it will not enact for a while due to me locating the plan later than expected. Due to a lapse in health insurance coverage until February, I am currently responsible for the full cost of my medical care and prescriptions, as well as my children’s medications and routine medical visits. I am managing idiopathic intracranial hypertension and Chiari malformation, and I am under active medical care while preparing for future decompression brain surgery. My medications are essential for symptom control and safety while I wait for surgery. I am also on mood stabilizers that I cannot suddenly stop taking and must continue for my mental wellbeing.

Because of my health and upcoming surgery, I am not able to return to work for several months. During this time, the primary need is help covering medications, medical appointments, and basic household expenses so I can focus on staying stable and caring for my children.

I am not asking for luxury or extras. Any support given will go directly toward prescriptions, medical costs, and essential bills. If you are not in a position to help financially, sharing this or keeping us in your thoughts truly means just as much.
