Tessa Ronson

I am honored to help and share my close friend, Jessica Ronson's story about her miracle baby girl, Tessa Ronson. Everything they are going through can be extremely stressful all by itself and then you add in the financial burden which can be crippling. Anything you can give them would ease the financial burden and let them focus on getting Tessa the proper care and therapy she needs!

"In 2019 after years and years of secondary infertility and finding out our only way of conceiving was through IVF, we decided to give it a try as our last and final try to conceive again. We we're blessed with a successful IVF cycle and my whole pregnancy was highly monitored but was progressing very well. Tessa was such a gift that we had prayed for for so long. Our first was a stillbirth due to a placental abruption caused by a blood clotting disorder they found out I had. I was on daily blood thinner shots to help prevent that from happening again.

Unfortunately our worst nightmare came true again and on 8/21 and only 32 weeks pregnant I was rushed back for an emergency c-section. Everything happened so fast and David barely made to the hospital as they were pulling Tessa's 4lb limp, almost lifeless body out of me. She was rushed to a nearby hospital immediately that had a level 4 NICU. We we're told that day that she was born very very sick and suffered a severe hypoxic brain injury. She seized for a solid 48 hours before they could get them under control. We later found out that the doctors did not expect her to survive past 2-3 days. Her MRI at 3 days old showed us how bad the brain damage was and we we're given the worst possible news. We we're told to expect zero to very little quality of life. Our hearts were completely ripped apart and mourning began. Those early weeks consisted of pumping around the clock and traveling 45 minutes one way to make daily visits and get as much time with her as we possibly could. She spent a total of 45 days in the NICU where she began to amaze the doctors. She was able to wean off all but 1 seizure medication, began to suck on a pacifier, passed her swallow study, and learned to nurse and bottle feed 100% on her own. In just 45 days she began to prove to everyone she was strong and a fighter.

Since leaving the hospital we have learned that she has cortical vision impairment and hearing loss in one ear. Because of the severe damage to the white matter of her brain she also has Microcephaly which alters the shape of her head making it very small. (in the negative percentile) She has also been diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy and is much more left side affected with high tone in her arms and legs and low tone in her core.

We began speech therapy, occupational therapy, and physical therapy very early. We have done a total of 40 dives in a Hyperbaric Chamber and we flew to Florida so she could receive stem cell therapy. She has worked so hard every day of her life to do the things that should just come easy and natural for her.

Tessa is such a strong little girl who is SO very happy (as long as mommy is around ) and has the most beautiful smile and bright blue eyes. She continues to amaze us and we are so proud of her.

She is still so young and there is still so much that we want to do with and for her so she can reach her max potential in life and continue to amaze her doctors in her strength and resilience. We hope to do HBOT with her many more dives and want to go back for more stem cell therapy in Florida. She is waiting now on a gait trainer, SMO braces for her ankles/legs, hand splints and there are many more treatments and therapies that we want to do with her.

Unfortunately only a very small percentage of these treatments and therapies are covered by insurance and we have already spent thousands on what we have done this past year with her. We are humbled and beyond grateful for anything that could help our Tessa girl. We 100% believe everything we are doing and want to do will help her reach her max potential in life."
