Coping with Loss
Krystal and Caleb’s lives have taken an unimaginable and heartbreaking turn—one no parent should ever have to face, and one that has forever changed their lives.
High school sweethearts from Alaska, Krystal and Caleb began their marriage filled with hope, love, and dreams of building a family together. Both come from large, loving families and always envisioned becoming parents. When they learned they were expecting their first baby in April, their hearts were overflowing with joy. They shared the news in the sweetest way—fortune cookies revealing their sweet secret of a surprise—and their families celebrated with tears, laughter, and so much love for their Christmas baby girl.
As the pregnancy progressed, complications arose for Krystal, and she developed preeclampsia. Because of this, she had to be medically induced, giving neither Krystal nor Caleb the time or space to fully process or prepare for the heartbreaking reality they were about to face.
In early December, their precious daughter, Eisley Freya, passed away.
Eisley was a beautiful, deeply loved baby girl whose life, though brief, was filled with meaning. She was known, cherished, and surrounded by love every moment of her life.
Now, Krystal and Caleb are walking through unimaginable grief as they mourn the loss of their daughter and begin to navigate life without her.
Instead of celebrating their first Christmas as parents and snuggling with their sweet baby, they are facing overwhelming emotional and financial burdens—medical bills, funeral and memorial expenses, and time away from work as they grieve and begin to heal.
We are asking for $25,000 to help support Krystal and Caleb during this incredibly difficult time. Donations will help ease the financial strain of medical bills, end-of-life and funeral expenses, and lost income during this season of profound loss.
Any amount, no matter how small, is deeply appreciated. If you’re unable to give, sharing this fundraiser is a meaningful way to show support. Thank you for surrounding Krystal and Caleb with love, compassion, and kindness as they mourn their beautiful baby girl.
We trust that Eisley is now held in perfect peace, wrapped in God’s love, and watching over her parents until the day they are reunited. May Krystal and Caleb feel God’s presence, comfort, and strength carrying them through this season of grief.
Thank you for helping carry them through this season.
