This year, 2022, I was thankfully graced with the opportunity to put together a nonprofit movement towards Suicide Prevention and the art of Living Whole.

Due to my plans for it - which include a huge event coming up in September 2023, and a self-created app that will offer resources and education - I quickly attracted a large and comprehensive group of leaders - both organizational and political - here in Northern Nevada!!

And thanks to our generous partner America Matters Media, 93.7 FM, DRIVE is now also a weekly radio show that I host on Thursdays at 10 AM Pacific.

Miracles, miracles! And these miracles tell me 100% that we're on the right track here.

However, my group and I have hit a roadblock! As it turns out, forming a nonprofit fully as a 501(c)(3) takes a lot of know-how and legal adherence. AKA, we need a lawyer.

We also need supplies, advertising, compensation for time, and many other items that help form and maintain an IRS-recognized nonprofit.

As Suicide Prevention is such a weighty topic to begin with, it is also quite difficult to manage everything on my own, and I need to hire help eventually as well.

But for now, I and my team (which includes a board of directors who are just waiting for us to be recognized by the IRS) would just like to get this thing off the ground!

Please find it in your heart to help if you can. We are truly engaged in this cause and have been working tirelessly. I can promise you that even if it were just me, I would never stop trying.

Suicide is an epidemic whose numbers are rapidly increasing. (See infographics below.) Every year the percentages go up.

Some of you know my own story and my late brother Kyle's, and if don't yet, I talk about it sometimes on air... but this fundraiser is about everyone. No one is untouched - at least in some way - by this devastating problem.
