Having directed nearly a dozen operas and as many music videos, Alex is venturing into narrative film for the first time with this original story of grief and absolution.
Danny was a dreamer, a drifter and a living spark of creativity - he never met a bridge he didn't burn.
Mel was a Jazz singer, a story-teller, and Danny's only remaining friend in the world.
When Mel discovers Danny's body, she begins a journey through her life with him, searching for meaning and closure. In so doing, she enters the semi-transparent world of memory where different layers of the past intermingle. She is looking for the one kernel of truth: who was Danny, really?
