HI! My name is Damian DeLoach, and I'm the creator of Monster Country, a little adventure magazine out of Batesville, Arkansas. In conjunction with the magazine, I’m doing a treasure hunt to benefit one lucky reader and a local charity.

THE MMF is a crowd-sourced fund with two beneficiaries. The first, who will receive 75% of the fund, is the person who finds Monster Country’s “lost” medallion. The second is the Jamestown Crag Foundation (JCF), which will receive the remaining 25% of the fund. The JCF is a 501c3 organization created to help ensure long-term, sustainable access to Jamestown Crag (a local destination for rock climbers, hikers, and other adventure seekers) for generations to come.

DON’T WORRY. None of the money raised will go into my pockets. On the contrary, Monster Country will be contributing to the fund as well—10% of all ad revenue. And, I am the only person who knows where to find the treasure— not my wife, kids, mom, friends, or anyone else. Whoever finds the Monster Medallion (the first beneficiary of this fund) will earn it.

CAN YOU IMAGINE?! I don’t expect this thing to blow up, but what if it did? If enough people or just one very fortunate person donated… how wild would it be if there was a medallion out there worth enough to drastically change someone’s life?
