The Shuttle Bus Pack

Rebuilding from Zero: The Shuttle Bus Pack

In September 2024, I walked away from everything. I left a three-year marriage with nothing but my Jeep Compass, a socket set, and a wad of rags. I didn't have a plan. I didn't even have license plates. I just knew I couldn't stay.

The Call Center Grind & The Hard Truth

I pushed myself to show up at a call center job every single day, providing tech support for the world while my own life was in pieces. Every night, I climbed into the hard, plastic cargo space of that Jeep to sleep. September in Missouri is brutal—excruciatingly hot during the day and shivering cold at night. For months, I was being led on and deceived, fighting for a future I thought we still had. Eventually, I discovered the hard truth: I was being lied to the entire time. I was homeless, alone, and sleeping on a hard floor, but I refused to let that be the end.

The Jefferson City Sprint & The Birthday Choice

I worked that job with a single-minded focus. When my first paycheck hit, I took a day off and drove straight to Jefferson City to handle the paperwork in person and get that Jeep road-legal immediately. As my birthday approached, I faced a crossroads. I was exhausted and heartbroken; I wanted to spoil myself with a gift just to feel human again. But laying in the back of the Jeep, I realized a gift wouldn't save me. A future would. I took the next paycheck and ran back to my hometown with it. Instead of a gift, I used my own two hands to convert that Jeep into a habitable space. I bought a 3-inch memory foam mattress topper to sleep on and built a table out of salvaged pallet wood so I could have a place for my things. By the time my birthday arrived, I had built my own sanctuary.

Two Years of Grit: The Road & The Pack

I’ve spent the last two years "Dashing" full-time across the country. I’ve worked through 100-degree heat and sub-zero winters. I’ve navigated mountain passes, survived being snowed in on 15-degree nights, and learned the isolation of the road. On October 4th, 2024, I got Spot. He has been my anchor and my co-pilot through every mile. On January 24th, 2026, I kept a promise I made to take in Samus, a German Shepherd. I didn't feel ready, and I had miscalculated the timing of our transition—but by the time I realized it, it was too late to back out. I am a man of my word. I brought Samus into the Jeep and we haven't looked back.

Why the Pack Needs You

I promised Samus a home, and I am providing it—but we have hit the physical limit of this Jeep. To keep my dogs safe and warm in this Missouri winter, I have to burn a quarter tank of fuel every night just to keep the engine idling. It’s a constant game of "Jeep Tetris" just to make room to lay down on that 3-inch topper.

The pack needs a real roof.

I am raising $5,300 to purchase and convert a retired shuttle bus into a permanent home and mobile office. This is the space I need to transition from the road into a steady remote career so I can be the provider these dogs deserve.

I’m not looking for a handout. I’m looking for the tools to finish the rebuild I started in a parking lot with a socket set and a choice.
