Thomas veterinary care
Thomas started showing uti symptoms and within hours his symptoms became severe. We got him into the vet as soon as we were able to and they discovered that he had a blockage one inch into his urethra. They sedated him and tried to do an iv catheter which failed because the blockage was too solid and the catheter kept bending. They referred us to an emergency clinic an hour away and they are keeping him for about a week if all goes well. They were able to get the iv catheter in and he has been stable. Hopes are that when the catheter is removed that he won’t block up again. If he does block he will have to go in for PU surgery which is a rough and expensive surgery. We are hoping our sweet boy continues healing and won’t need to have surgery.
