Launched in 2024, Threshold is a biannual poetry and performing arts series based in Seattle but expanding soon to Carpinteria, CA. Our past performers include local and national emerging and established artists. This series centers queer and trans artists who create between mediums, while encouraging boldness, immersion, irreverence, embodiment, and connectivity.

We prioritize paying our performers equitably for their art, time, and energy, while maintaining free access to our performances! Part of this, for us, involves finding “creative” budgeting solutions! For instance, for “Desire Machine,” Cass collected all of our set items from junk piles, free online listings, and free side of the road boxes to ensure we could put the maximum amount of our grant funding into the hands of our artists.

We deeply appreciate donations of any size from folks who have the resources to comfortably do so! All donations help us continue paying our artists, curating vibes, and supporting necessary costs related to keeping performances running smoothly.
