My name is Jake. A few days ago, something happened and I hurt my hind leg.  Now it doesn't work and it hurts every time I get up and try to walk.  It's such a drag, especially when I need to go outside and take care of "personal business."  My mom helps me, (she's the best) and I love her for everything she does to care for me.  

Thru our years together, I've had a few rough times with this thing she calls seizures.  But I'm pretty tough and we get through it.

Anyway, my mom and I went to see Dr. Chris ( he's a nice guy) but he made my mom cry today.  My mom's a pretty tough lady, just like me. So I know this leg thing is serious.  It's called surgery. Dr. Chris has to make a new ligament that attaches my leg bones again. It needs to be done so My leg works again

Geez, I just want to walk The neighborhood and say "hi" to my friends and smile and greet all the visitors and get petted and share my joy of living!  That' my job.

Just so everyone knows, I'm not scared. Like I said, I'm tough and I know my mom will take the bestest care of me. She always does. She is My most precious being in this world.

 So, that's our story. 

Here's the easy part:  give some $$ for that surgery thing, and l will walk about and do my "joy" job!
