TMC Family Impacted by Harvey

As many of you are aware, South East Texas has endured devastating floods over the past week as a result of Hurricane Harvey. Hurricane Harvey has broken numerous records, dropping as much as 50 inches of rain on South East Texas in just a few short days. Numerous Texas counties have been declared federal disaster areas, with the storm now moving into Louisiana, where we expect further flooding may occur. Many of the people affected by these floods have weathered countless hurricanes before and have never seen water in their homes, until Harvey. Most of these individuals do not have flood insurance and will have long term needs, as well as the immediate needs of food, clothing, and temporary housing.

We do not yet know the extent of the impact on our TMC family. We have confirmed that approximately 8 TMC team members have been affected so far, (including staff therapists, rehab coordinators, and area managers) with many more team members unreachable or unable to get back to their homes to assess the damage. We don't expect to know the extent of the damage for some time, but we do expect there will be many more TMC family members affected as Harvey continues on his path. We would like to begin this fundraising effort immediately, though, so that we can be prepared to assist them as their needs arise.

Please donate whatever your heart leads you to give. The amount of damage is nearly incomprehensible and we ask that you keep everyone in South East Texas and South Louisiana in your thoughts and prayers in the coming days, weeks, and months as they ride out the rest of this storm and begin their cleanup efforts. There are many who are still not safe, as Harvey continues to pound the Gulf Coast today, leaving many trapped in their homes with flood waters continuing to rise. Thank you for your thoughts, prayers, and donations! Every little bit helps!
