After years of waiting and planning, I have my top surgery scheduled! I've been hoping for this for half my life and it's finally starting to come to fruition.

The current scheduled date would mean that unfortunately I probably will not have met my deductible or out of pocket maximum with insurance, but with the current state of Kentucky politics, I am wanting to get this done as soon as possible and am willing to find alternative financial planning.

My total estimated out of pocket cost will be somewhere around 6-7k in estimated medical expenses alone.

In addition to facility costs, I am anticipating being out of work for about 1.5 weeks that will be unpaid. As well as the cost of supplies needed for recovery at home. I estimate these to come up around $600

I do have a HSA funds that I have been accumulating that I am also intending on putting towards this, but that is also where I am paying for medications and for the pre-op appointments to come.

I appreciate any and all help as I take the step I've been most excited about in my social and medical transition!
