On July 26th, 2018, Massachusetts State Police Trooper Thomas Devlin was conducting a routine traffic stop on Route 3 in Billerica when he was struck by a motorist who had failed to slow down or move over. Just over two years later on September 3rd, 2020, he lost the fight to his injuries and passed away. Trooper Devlin's legacy lives with his wife Nancy and his 4 children: Matthew, Rachel, Paul, and Hannah.

His legacy will live on in many ways, one of which is the Trooper Thomas W. Devlin Memorial Scholarship, a scholarship to aid graduating Wilmington seniors with priority to those studying criminal justice and law enforcement. The Devlin family has been able to provide 6 scholarships to 6 Wilmington seniors over the past three years and it is our hope to continue providing them for as long as we can. To accomplish this, we are looking for your financial assistance so that we can continue providing scholarships.
