I am reaching out because our family is facing a difficult urgent situation and we could truly use some assistance.For the past two months, my car’s transmission has been broken, leaving us without reliable transportation. Having a working vehicle is absolutely critical right now because I have taken on the primary responsibility of caring for my aunt Debbie. She is currently fighting melanoma skin cancer for the third time and needs to get back and forth to her immunotherapy appointments. Because she is on SSI, I handle her grocery shopping, run errands, and manage daily necessities to ensure her environment is as stress-free as possible.Managing this has been incredibly challenging. I have been unable to work since December due to a severe work-related injury, and I am currently waiting on the status of my disability claim.We are hoping to find support to help get my vehicle repaired or find a temporary transport solution so I can continue getting my aunt to her life-saving medical treatments and keep our household running.
