Share a latte with me.

My name is CJ Evans. I'm a full-time college student studying engineering. I also work full time, though it is part-time at several different places. 

I lost my car this month and looked at my finances to see if I can rectify this situation. Not quickly enough it would seem. Currently I have to take public transportation to get to work and school, however, this severely limits my ability to do both since my hours have been set to my ability to drive there. Because of this, I have missed classes due to bus scheduling (running late), have had my nerves set constantly on edge by the fights that seem to break out daily on the bus and train platforms, and traveling late at night through the not so nice parts of Los Angeles. I've also been late to work, and functions where I was supposed to present. 

Currently, I'm collecting funds and resources to buy a scooter/bike so that I can get to school and work in a timely manner without the anxiety or time that it takes to travel on public transportation. I'm aiming for the scooter/bike because it will be easier to upkeep than a car in terms of maintenance, insurance, and gas. I've been looking at used lots and the price seems to be about 3,000 dollars average for a working bike that is qualified to go on LA highways, that is considered commuter range. 

I only need about 2,000 more. If I am able to get the amount that I need, I will be able to keep my job, stay in school, and even finish school by the spring since I won't have to drop any classes due to transportation issues. (driving between campuses for different classes). Any amount over would go towards the bike, with excess (if any) donated to a veteran's organization such as The Mission Continues, and The Student Veterans of America. 

I am asking NOT for $2000 dollars. 

I am asking for a latte. $5.00 if you can. For the price of a morning Starbucks coffee, help me get to work. And school.
