Aloha. Please help me eat sh*t!!

I have C. diff. and am requesting support in paying for fecal microbial transplantation (FMT) (which is not covered by insurance) to clear the infection and help heal my gut.

I have a list of uncomfortable symptoms and have been working on clearing this infection since at least May of 2021. I have lost a significant amount of weight and am ready to eat someone else's poop to heal.

What is C. diff?

Clostridium difficile colitis results from disruption of normal healthy bacteria in the colon, often from antibiotics. C. difficile can also be transmitted from person to person by spores. It can cause severe damage to the colon and even be fatal.

Symptoms include diarrhea, belly pain, and fever. Treatment includes antibiotics. Even when treated with antibiotics, the infection may come back. In rare cases, fecal transplant or surgery may be needed.

Why FMT?

C. diff infection leads to severe diarrhea and very serious inflammation of the colon. While standard treatment for this infection involves antibiotics, many patients continue to suffer from repeat infections, making antibiotics ineffective. Instead, fecal microbial transplantation (FMT) transfers a healthy microbiome from a healthy person to the patient suffering from C. diff.

FMT essentially repopulates the gut with rich, healthy microbes. FMT has been shown to be remarkably effective at treating resistant C. diff infections.
