For my birthday this year, I’m asking for donations to Stronger Than the Silence through the FreeFunder platform. As most of you know, my middle daughter, Kalyx began doing things under the name Stronger than the Silence a few years ago aimed at advocacy and education for sexual assault awareness. Last year, we put together a board and were recognized as a non-profit organization at the state level, but we still have to obtain our 501c designation before we can really start fundraising or applying for grants. Problem is, that takes money. So here we are.

In the past year, we have partnered with a teen in Virginia who has started a STTS club that is active in her school and community. We plan to expand that further in the coming year, including outreach programs teaching consent in child friendly ways, self defense to outgoing high school seniors and college students, and more! We are launching a new line of merch to help further fund and aid our cause. There’s a lot coming, but we need your help!
