Truck accident recovery

On January 30, 2012, while stopped at a red light, I was rear‑ended by a 26,000‑pound dump truck. The impact pushed the car I was in under the one ahead and sent multiple vehicles nearly 100 feet into a busy intersection. I survived, but my life changed instantly.

I suffered a brain injury and severe spinal damage. I’ve had two fusion surgeries—lumbar in 2013 and cervical in 2016—and I live with daily, unrelenting pain, neurological symptoms, and chronic fatigue. These injuries affect every hour of my life and made returning to work impossible. In court, crucial medical evidence—showing the driver should never have been behind the wheel—was barred from the jury. In New York, juries also can’t be told which insurance company funds the defense, which hides corporate accountability and makes it appear that the fight is against one individual instead of a corporation with deep resource. For years, the insurer has used Delay, Deny, and Defend tactics: repetitive depositions, denials, and “independent” exams aimed at disputing injuries rather than diagnosing them. My appeal was filed on September 12, 2025, and is pending. This fight is about my injuries—and about challenging a system designed to outlast people who’ve already been harmed. The toll has been enormous: physically ,emotionally, and financially. I am asking for your help so I can keep going. No weapon formed against me shall prosper.
