Trying to stay afloat

I'm sure everyone has problems and I'm no different. I usually find a way to take care of things. I don't like asking for help, partially embarrassment, partially pride, and partially a feeling of failure, but I ran out of options. For 5 yrs my husband battled cancer. Just over a year ago he lost that battle. Sadly, it is a two income world. Living with me are my daughter and 3 grandsons. 6 yrs ago, I came home to find my daughter unresponsive, I performed CPR till help arrived. She had been pronounced clinically dead. Thanks to prayers and the care at ORMC's trauma unit, she survived, but she's been dealing with numerous medical problems since, making it hard to keep a job. (Of course, she doesn't qualify for disability or assistance.) The oldest grandson helped out the best he could but not having a car, (he was ripped of by a used car dealership. They sold him a car with a cracked head) cost him a few good jobs.
My husband's small life insurance covered his death and a few outstanding bills but it's gone. I have nothing left of value to sell. SS doesn't cover everything. I'm looking for a job but my age and health is making it hard to find one. As hard as it is to say, I need help till I can find a job.
