Turning over a new leaf
Ive created this fundraiser in hopes of finding help for a longtime friend of mine buy a vehicle for her long road ahead...
PLEASE READ HER STORY!!!
As most of us have, Melissa has fallen on extremely hard times. I met Melissa in 2007. She was so full of life, a strong spirit that I looked up to and confided in on numerous occasions. She was pregnant with her first child at the time and I had just had my baby. It was so easy to be her friend, she made me feel welcomed. She told me about how she had just lost her father to cancer and then, in 2009, she lost her first born son to SIDS, when he was 6 months old. She carried on with life like a warrior. But the pain inside her heart was raw and it ate at her everyday. She has since had 2 more beautiful children, who were taken from her due to the unforgiving root of all evil: Addiction.
Melissa is willing to get help and she is on her way to recovery. As of May 8th 2017, she has started her journey at an inpatient program in a new city, far away from that life and has no plans to return. After the inpatient program is complete, she will move onto the second step of the program, where she will be able to live with people who will help her get on her feet. She will have a chance to find a job, an apartment and see her children with visitation. Her ultimate goal now, is to get better so she can have her children back. She arrived at the clinic with nothing. I'm asking for donations to help Melissa get into a vehicle. She will need it to get around, and it will help make this long journey she is facing, a little easier. She is a strong woman and after everything she's been through, it would be nice for her to experience how people can come together and create something beautiful, even complete strangers. I trust that she is on the right path and that God is guiding her towards better things. Please, even if it's $1 or even a share, you're helping more than you know! Pray for my friend. Send strength her way, and thank you so much for reading!!
