Umizzle's SkatePal Trip
Hi, my name is Umair and I am raising funds to go to Palestine to build a skatepark and teach kids how to skateboard! I am traveling with Skate Pal, a British NGO whose goal is to develop a skate scene in Palestine. I was blessed enough to go last year and I have been invited to go back again this Summer.
Since it's hard to get items in and out of Palestine, Skate Pal depends on volunteers and donations to keep the program going. The money I am raising is to cover my airfare and help with Skate Pal operations.
Spending time in Palestine last year was the most fulfilling thing I have ever done in my life. I got to connect with people half my age and twice my age as well. I was treated like family in a foreign country. This experience is something I will always remember and be thankful for. I hope to go back and continue to make a difference in the lives of others. Last year I raised over $3,000. This year I am hoping to raise $3,500! Please help me reach my goal!
