Hi, my name is Brooke, and I’m reaching out for help during a really challenging time. I recently discovered that the people I was leasing with didn’t pay the fee for breaking our lease, which was $5,000. Because of this, the debt was sent to collections and now it’s in my name. On top of this unexpected financial burden, I’m also paying higher rent, making it even harder to get back on my feet.

This debt has been weighing heavily on me, causing a lot of stress and uncertainty about my future. Paying it off would not only relieve that stress, but it would also help me improve my credit, making it possible for me to secure better housing and eventually get a car.
