Unexpected Loss
We are friends of the Popovich family. They are amazing, caring, giving, passionate about their faith.
Hailey Popovich, their daughter, unexpectedly passed away due to health complications on January 6th, 2019.
The rest of the family is reeling, and it's our desire to help them raise funds for the expenses no one could have foreseen, much less expected.
Here is their story:
How do you sum up a twenty-one year life in only a few words?
Hailey embarked on an adventure to Europe with her friend to celebrate twenty-one years of life. To celebrate surviving the teen years and being an adult. She and her friend visited Budapest, Vienna, and Prague. They made memories together and visited sights most of their family and friends have only dreamed of seeing. She was living some of her dreams.
While in Prague, Hailey became ill with a sinus infection. But something happened. No one knows what.
Hailey's spirit took a final flight to heaven, while her body stayed behind. Now, her family is left grieving. They're trying to pick up the pieces even as they begin the process of saying good-bye to their daughter, grand-daughter, sister, and friend this side of heaven.
Hailey is survived by her father and step mother, her mother and step-father, three brothers and one younger sister, along with many friends and orphaned children she's helped on missions trips.
Hailey Popovich was an amazing young woman.
Feisty.
Independent.
Loving sister and daughter.
Definitely her own woman.
Passionate about her faith.
Grade A student.
World traveler.
Singer.
Writer.
Change-maker in the making.
Caring.
Lover of children.
The family knows God will provide for their needs. They also know sometimes He uses people to do so. They have many expenses relating to Hailey's death, including emergency travel to Prague, transport expenses, funeral expenses, and other costs that are more difficult to define.
