As many of you know, our wonderful son, whom we named Jacob but since he has learned in the past year to use a letterboard to communicate he has asked to be called Lowery, is now 16 years old. He is a bright, resilient, and deeply loved teenager on the autism spectrum.

Our journey began when he was diagnosed at just 2 years old. For the last 14 years, our absolute priority has been finding ways to help him navigate the world and communicate effectively. Over nearly a decade and a half, we have researched countless approaches and exhausted all the typical avenues. We have tried ABA therapy, Occupational Therapy (OT), Physical Therapy (PT), specialized diets, and various specialized programs—leaving no stone unturned. He has also been through extensive speech therapy, and we are even currently starting him with a brand-new speech therapist to continue supporting his development.

Despite trying everything, we always knew there was more of him waiting to be unlocked. Recently, we found a specific, highly promising treatment that has successfully helped so many other autistic individuals like him.

For Lowery, the biggest hurdle is navigating an apraxic body—a deep disconnect between what his brilliant mind wants to do and what his physical body is able to execute. This new treatment targets exactly that, offering a bridge to help him gain motor control, express his thoughts, and experience a level of independence he deserves. We see the profound impact this is having on others, and we simply cannot let this life-changing opportunity pass our son by just as he is on the cusp of adulthood.

This specialized, life-changing treatment requires a two-week intensive program located in New York. Because this is specialized care, the costs are entirely out-of-pocket and substantial:
