Urgent Housing Assistance
QUEER DISABLED COMMUNITY MEMBER IN URGENT NEED OF COMMUNITY SUPPORT
A Fargo-Moorhead area community member has recently been approved for housing with the assistance of a voucher! Unfortunately, this voucher does not cover the security deposit required for moving-in.
They have found and been approved for an apartment, but are at risk of losing it if someone takes it before they can submit the deposit and sign the lease. They already lost one unit to someone else able to pay their deposit and sign a lease sooner.
This individual does not have income and will be living alone for the first time since their health and chronic conditions have declined to the point they are at now. As they make this transition they will likely need continued support in various forms as needs arise, but for now they could just use our help to get the necessary funds for this security deposit.
They need $850 for the security deposit & we are aiming to raise $1000 if possible to help ease their transition.
If any additional funds were received they would be used towards moving expenses and getting items that would support their needs as they transition to independent living.
They need to be able to submit the security deposit by the 23rd at the latest, but are at risk of losing the unit before then.
If you're able to support financially it would be greatly appreciated! If you can't, please support by sharing and spreading the word!
Thank you in advance for all the support!!
